2nd Treasure: IOS Market Place App
For this project, I explored marketplace app patterns and conducted a detailed review of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines to ground the design in established usability and accessibility standards. My goal was to create a trustworthy, intuitive experience for browsing and purchasing secondhand items.
Based on competitive analysis and HIG principles, I identified two core user needs to prioritize: the ability to easily message sellers and to save items for later by marking them as favorites. These features support key marketplace behaviors—building trust through direct communication and enabling consideration over time for higher-commitment purchases.
The product, 2nd Treasure, is derived from the phrase “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure,” reinforcing the value of secondhand goods. Visually, I used a clean white interface with green primary actions to convey simplicity, clarity, and trust. This combination of interaction design and visual language was intended to reduce friction, encourage engagement, and create a safe, approachable environment for peer-to-peer transactions.
