Spooky Misfits: Buy Tickets if You Dare
When tasked with creating both a brand and a mobile app of my choosing, I drew inspiration from my love of autumn and Halloween, using the “spooky season” as the central theme. My goal was to translate the atmosphere of fall into a cohesive digital brand that felt seasonal, playful, and engaging.
That is how the Spooky Misfits was created. The Spooky Misfits is an events app that showcases Halloween-themed shows, tours, and meetups. The app was designed to help users easily discover and explore themed experiences within their community who also has a love for the autumn season
.To balance the spooky theme with approachability, I used a warm autumn color palette that made the interface feel inviting rather than intimidating. Using this visual direction, it reinforced the brand personality while supporting usability, creating an experience that felt festive, friendly, and aligned with the emotional tone of the season.
